CFB Portal Pulse ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using CFB Portal Pulse, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• •Usage Data: Anonymous analytics about how you interact with the app (screens viewed, features used). This data does not identify you personally.
• •Preferences: Your settings, theme, persona mode, favorite players, watchlist, and followed teams — stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.
• •Purchase Information: If you subscribe to CFB Portal Pulse Premium, purchase transactions are processed by Apple via the App Store. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status through RevenueCat — we never see your payment details.
• •AI Scouting Queries: When you generate a scouting report, player information (name, position, school, stats) is sent to our backend server and to OpenAI's API to generate the report. No personally identifiable information about you is included in these requests.
• •Device & Notification Tokens: If you enable push notifications, your device token is used solely to deliver alerts you've opted into.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• •Your name, email address, or account credentials
• •Your location or GPS data
• •Your contacts or address book
• •Photos, camera, or microphone data
• •Any information from children under 13

How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• •Provide and improve the app's features and performance
• •Deliver push notifications you've requested
• •Generate AI-powered scouting reports using OpenAI
• •Verify your subscription status to unlock premium features
• •Understand how the app is being used in aggregate (no personal tracking)

Third-Party Services

CFB Portal Pulse uses the following third-party services:

• •RevenueCat — Subscription management. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy at revenuecat.com.
• •OpenAI — AI scouting report generation. Player context is sent to OpenAI's API. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy at openai.com.
• •College Football Data API (CFBD) — Source for all transfer portal, player, and team data. No user data is shared with CFBD.
• •Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — Delivery of push notifications on iOS.

Data Storage & Security

Your preferences and saved data (favorites, watchlist, teams) are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. We do not operate user accounts or cloud sync. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Our backend server uses HTTPS for all communication. We do not store scouting report results server-side — they are generated on demand and returned directly to your device.

Your Rights & Choices

• •Notification Opt-Out: You can disable push notifications at any time in Settings or in your iOS device settings.
• •Data Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. There is no server-side user data to delete.
• •Subscription Management: Manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions).

Children's Privacy

CFB Portal Pulse is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
